There’s a lot to love about Hobart but for me, I think my absolute favourite aspect is the wild and unspoilt mountain in such close proximity to the city centre. For me, Mt Wellington / kunyani is Hobart’s crowning glory. I wanted to try and find a unique and original perspective to help bring this idea to life. And so this image was borne, although it took a special set of conditions to match what I had in my mind. I love the way the setting sun is shining its last rays on the mountain’s silhouette, leading the eye to its pinnacle.
